Welcome to The Farm
Nestled a hop, skip, and a jump away from the shore of Lake Superior just outside Washburn, Wisconsin, our family has been creating the farm of our dreams. We run a 52 acre diversified family farm. We like to say we grow fiber, food, and fun. Check out our online presence, learn about what we have available, and come see us in person! We enjoy sharing the fruits of our labor and way of life with you.
About Us
We are a family of three, Jamie, Abby and Miles Klema, plus lots of furry and feathered creatures. Our farm is located just outside the town of Washburn, WI, very close to the shores of Lake Superior. We love the beauty of our natural environment and seek to farm in a manner that sustains, and even improves in some ways, the natural world around us. Suri alpacas won over our hearts in 2007, and we have been caring for a herd of them ever since. Our farm has a welcoming feeling, and there is a lot to experience. This farm life is a journey and we are excited to share it with you.
Products
Fiber, Food, and Fun is what we offfer! We have a diverse array of offerings and it changes with the seasons.
Fiber: Alpaca fiber from raw to finished garments. We carry a wide variety of alpaca socks. We LOVE alpaca socks!
Food: We grow microgreens year round. We have a 5 week CSA called the Super Greens Share that runs from late April-May. We are members of the Bayfield Foods CSA. and we add fresh produce to our on farm store as it is available. In the spring shop our greenhouse for great vegetable and flower starts. Everyone loves our pasture raised eggs.
Fun: Just coming to the farm store can be an experience. For a guaranteed up close and personal experience we offer Alpaca Meet & Greet Tours. We also occasionally host workshops like wreath making, garlic braiding, etc. We also love to host school groups, camps, and tour companies.
Please have fun exploring the website and hopefully you will come and see us in person, too. Subscribe and stay up to date with the farm.
